LINE UP OF GAMES FOR 2005 SPONSORED BY THE MINOR LEAGUE FOOTBALL NEWS
The Minor League Football News is taking over the schedule of all-star game planned by the Free Agent Scouting Combine. Phil Lytle, Head Coach/Owner of the Asheville Grizzlies has been appointed Director of Operations for the MLFN All-Stars. Former FASCO players should be aware there are no changes in costs, jerseys, commitments to placing players in the pros, etc. The FASCO website is still operating at www.eteamz.com/fasco and has rosters posted on the “Future All-Star Games” page. Sign up are now being accepted for the following games:
May 7th -3rd Annual “Stars of Tomorrow” Bowl Game. Oppenent is the Midwest Football All-Stars. Game will be played at Romulus High in Detroit. Phil Lytle, Head Coach.
June 4th -“Smokey Mountain Bowl”-Asheville, North Carolina. Opponent to be announced. Phil Lytle, Head Coach.
December 10th -4th Annual “Opportunity Bowl”-Dixie College in St.George, Utah -a hour and half from downtown Las Vegas, where we will be headquartered and practice. Opponent will be the Colorado Football Conference.
January 14, 2006-4th Annual “Sunshine Bowl”-Homestead, Florida.
February 11, 2006-6th Annual “Volcano Bowl” Honolulu, Hawaii

MINOR LEAGUE FOOTBALL GAMES IN DETROIT AND ASHVILLE (NC) LINEUPS:
The May 7th 3rd Annual “Stars of Tomorrow” All-Star game will take place on Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Romulus High School in Detroit, Michigan. This year’s game will match the Midwest All-Stars vs Minor League All-Stars (FASCO). Head coach for the All-Stars is Phil Lytle, Asheville Grizzlies. Assistant coaches include: Jim Nugent (National Football Events), Terry Fawcett (Duluth-Superior Shoremen), Greg “Chief” Moore (St.Louis Bulldogs) and Ray Scott (Prince William Monarchs). The team headquarters hotel is the Red Roof Inn, just 8-miles from the Detroit Airport (Detroit Metro Airport Red Roof). To make a reservation call (734)697-2244 or 800-733-7663 or go on line at www.redroof.com and click on to the Detroit Metro Airport RR). The cost they are showing on line is $47.99 for a single and $52.99 for a double..Report time is Thursday morning (May 5th) for a team meeting at the hotel starting at 9:00 a.m. Practice will follow at a nearby park (grass surface). You will wear workout clothes and bring your helmets. Car pool from the hotel lobby if you need a ride. We will have two and maybe three practices on both Thursday and Friday. Players must bring own protective gear, white game pants (Practice White’s OK), long red NFL style socks and the shoes must be white. You can wear black shoes but they must be spatted with white tape. We are playing on a field turf surface and you can wear short stub cleats. Trainers will be on hand to tape you before the game. GAME PLAYING RULES: NFL RULES WITH ONLY FIVE PLAYERS ELIGIBLE TO RUSH THE QB, UNLESS HE ROLLS OUT OF POCKET OR FUMBLES. NO HITTING CENTER ON ANY KICKS.

Team headquarters hotel is the Best Western Hotel in Asheville. Cost is $69.00 for a single or $74.00 for a double/triple. To make your reservation call (828) 253-1851.
